East Devon Bash T20 – Week 3
In-form batsmen Tyler Wellman blasted 112 off 53 balls in Uplyme Muffin Men's 185-run victory over Sidbury in week three of the fledgling East Devon Bash T20 competition.
The newly-formed East Devon Bash T-20 league has seen its first tied match.
In the second week of the pink ball competition, Kilmington Swingers and Seaton Pirates both hit 145 runs.

Seaton's challenging season continued with a disappointing performance away to Plympton where they were beaten by eight wickets.

With the season a third completed, Seaton are still looking for for more consistency in the Devon Cricket League A Division.
The new East Devon T-20 Bash, sponsored jointly by LymeOnline and Nub News, got underway last week with three fixtures – Rising Ottery Super Beavers (Ottery St Mary) v Uplyme Muffin Men (Uplyme & Lyme Regis), Seaton Pirates (Seaton CC) v Upottery Kestrels (Upottery CC) and Sidbury Moles (Sidbury CC) v Kilmington Swingers (Kilmington CC). Honiton Hawks (Honiton CC) had a bye.
Uplyme Muffin Men proved to be too strong for Ottery Rising Ottery Super Beavers. Uplyme batted first and amassed a total of 182-6 with Sam Farrow (55), Steve Batey (43) and Mark Batey (38) top scoring in a performance peppered with aggressive batting which saw several sixes flying out of Ottery's expansive ground.
Seaton Cricket Club sign son of one of the most feared West Indian bowlers

SEATON Cricket Club have signed West Indian quick bowler Mali Marshall. He made his debut at Tavistock on Saturday, taking two wickets.
Mali is the 31-year-old son of the late Malcolm Marshall, one of the most feared West Indian fast bowlers throughout the 1980s.

Seaton's batting failed them at home to Tavistock who won the toss and elected to bat, setting the home side a target of 207.

Seaton won their first match of the new cricket season with a four-wicket victory at home to Barton which leaves them in a mid-table position.
Local cricket was washed out for a second weekend with not one ball bowled by the Axe Valley area clubs.
Next Saturday's Devon League fixtures
Rain washed out Saturday's Devon Cricket League programme with only two teams from the Axe Valley area getting in a few overs before the games were abandoned.
Seaton 1st X1 were at home to Cullompton in the A Division. The visitors won the toss and elected to field and Seaton were on 97 for 3 after 24 overs when the match was abandoned, giving each team seven league points.
