Farway United made history and lifted the Devon Intermediate Cup for the first time in their history.

In the first final to be held on the newly laid Coach Road pitch at Newton Abbot, Farway recovered from giving away a 2-0 interval lead to win 5-4 on penalties. Bishop Blaize were worthy finalists but a single penalty miss cost them dearly.

Goals for Farway came from brothers Billy and Oli Reed, with Matt Finn and Ethan Matthews finding the net for Blaize in the second half.

Seventeen years after their crushing defeat in the 2003 final, Farway have their hands on the biggest trophy of the lot.
