Beer Albion 1sts still occupy third place in the Devon and Exeter Premier Division after a comfortable 3-0 home win against bottom-of-the-table Ottery St Mary 2nds.
Uplyme 1sts ended the 17-game unbeaten run of St Thomas with a 4 - 3 win which should have been much more comprehensive than it turned out.
Even with players missing, St Thomas proved a constant threat at set pieces with their physical presence and took the lead through a corner, after Uplyme had started very brightly.

With the Tigers back down into second place in the league, they needed to win to keep the pressure on the leaders Ilminster Youth going into the final few games of the season.
After nine games without a victory, Axminster Town returned to winning ways on Saturday.
In a hard-fought tussle at Newton Abbot Spurs, the Tigers returned home with three valuable points to see them move two places up the South West Peninsular Premier division to eighth spot and with games in hand on four teams above them in the table.
It was a busy week at Axe Cliff Golf Club Club once the weather changed for the better.
The Seniors played their popular "Famous Golfers " fun game in glorious weather last Friday. Each player was selected to represent a famous golfer before going out to play in groups of three.

After a disappointing 2-2 draw against local rivals Sidmouth Town in midweek, a game the Tigers would have expected to win, Axminster Town got their first win of 2022 yesterday with a 1-0 victory in windy conditions at Newton Abbot Spurs.
