People have often asked what made me leave my idyllic life in Lyme Regis, living and working by the sea in one of the West Country's most beautiful areas. The answer was simple. Ambition - and of course, money.

Seven deaths have now been reported at the Holmesley care home in Sidford, all of which are believed to be related to an outbreak of COVID-19.

Five deaths have now been reported at the Holmesley care home in Sidford, all believed to be related to an outbreak of COVID-19, with post-mortems carried out on three.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the outbreak, which has affected a 'significant number' of residents and staff.

Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) funding for hundreds of East Devon businesses is waiting to be claimed before the deadline at the end of March.

The Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) will remain open until further notice.

A Seaton resident has called for regular updates on the proposed seafront enhancement project, saying it should not be forgotten or lost.

Seaton Town Council scrapped its seafront enhancement scheme in December, despite having already spent more than £50,000 on the project.

Police have assured the public that Seaton remains a safe place following a violent incident in Tesco last month.

Police were called to Tesco in Seaton at about 5.30pm on Thursday, February 25 following a report of a fight involving three or four men and a glass bottle in the alcohol aisle.
