With the festive period one of the busiest times for homebuyers searching for property online, local estate agency Fox and Sons, in Axminster, is urging sellers looking for a new year move to get everything in place now to take advantage of a surge in buyer interest.

Each year, millions of house hunters search for property over the Christmas break as families come together and make plans for the new year. Last Christmas, Rightmove received a huge spike in traffic to their websites, increasing by 78% on Boxing Day and reaching over 4.7 million visits on the first working day of the new year alone.

"The run up to Christmas can be incredibly busy and so we are advising sellers to get everything in place now, to ensure their property is on the market at a time to reap the rewards of this window of opportunity," says Beth Clarke, branch manager at Fox and Sons.

"We know the market trends and we have proven experience in achieving maximum exposure for properties during this festive peak," continues Beth. "Sellers should be looking to instruct an agent that has the tools and know-how to guarantee the best results."

If you have a property to sell and would like to arrange a free market appraisal on your home, contact the local Fox and Sons branch on 01297 32323 or email [email protected]
