Stolen car stopped by Seaton Police

A vehicle stopped last night (Wednesday) by Seaton Police was found to be stolen.

The Seaton Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped the Volvo due to the manner of driving, but it was soon discovered that the car was stolen and the driver had no license or insurance.

Devon is in a "good position" to cope with the coronavirus pandemic as restrictions are set to ease in the roadmap out of lockdown.

Infection rates in the county are down to 15.7/100,000 – the lowest on the mainland of England with only the Isle of Wight lower – with North Devon, the South Hams, Teignbridge, Torridge and West Devon is the bottom ten for lower tier authorities.

Would-be holidaymakers are being warned not to put the summer at risk by travelling down to Devon this Easter, before lockdown restrictions ease.

Under the government's roadmap, Monday, April 12 is the earliest date outdoor attractions and self-contained accommodation, such as campsites and holiday lets, are allowed to open.
