Axminster Town, enjoying one of their best seasons for many years, pulled off their best result so far with a 2-0 win over top of the league Okehhampton Argyle.

Goals from Charlie Wilson and Jamie Girton secured the three points which leaves the Tigers in ninth place in the table on 25 points, having won seven of their 14 games with just four defeats.

The Tigers return to Tiger Way on Saturday with a home fixture against Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police, who are bottom of the table with only one victory from 18 games (kick-off 3 pm).

Axminster Reserves, who are sitting in seventh place in the Devon and Exeter Premier Division, are away to Colyton (kick-off 2,15pm).
