Colyton Football Club has appointed Neil Holt as its new first team manager.

Holt's playing days saw him compete at a senior level for Glastonbury, Chard Town, Sturminster Newton and Honiton, to name a few, and he went on to manage at Glastonbury, Ashcott, Combe St Nicholas, Beaminster and was assistant manager at Honiton.

On his appointment at Colyton first team manager, he commented: My ambition this season is to finish as high as possible, but also try to bring the young players from the reserves through to first team football.

"I have met the players and I'm really excited to get going."

Holt has appointed Steve Bedwell as his assistant.

He commented: "Steve also has a lot of experience and I'm looking forward to working closely with him and sharing ideas."

Colyton first team finished fifth in the Devon & eExeter League Premier Division last season.
