Stoke Under 14s 1, Axminster Tigers Under 14s 12

The young Tigers travelled to Yeovil to play bottom of the table Stoke with expectations of another three points - and so it proved.

Axe started slowly, not moving the ball quick enough, thinking this would be a walk-over. All credit to Stoke who battle hard and closed down very quickly.

Once The Tigers moved the ball more swiftly they started to find the spaces and open up the defence with Ruben Baulch running the midfield superbly. It was Ruben who played a excellent cross-field ball to Fin Jenkin who expertly chipped the on-rushing keeper.

The goals flowed from there on with Ruben scoring a 25-yarder into the top corner. Goal of the day was a great team move involving four or five players before Theo Hewitt smashed home the last goal of the game.

Goal scorers were Luke (2) Fin Jenkins (3) Ruben (3) Giles, George, Theo and Flynn. Man-of-the match was Ruben Baulch.
