The games are coming thick and fast for Axminster Town at the moment and tonight they travel to Crediton United who are unbeaten this season in the South West Peninsular Premier East division.

The Tigers have hit an inconsistent patch in the past few weeks in both league and cup fixtures. After making a great start to the season, the Axe have struggled in some recent games, affected by injuries of suspensions, but they still occupy seventh place in the division, with six wins to their credit, three losses and three draws, after a 2-0 defeat at home to Premier leaders Ivybridge Town last Saturday.

Axminster's disciplinary record is among the worst in the league, having gathered 23 yellow cards, three reds and two sin bins.

After a disappointing 4-0 defeat away to Brixham, Axminster bounced back with a 5-2 away win over Elmore in which manager Dan Prettejohn selected a number of new signings, including Exeter City Academy player Harry Ford. The Tigers' goals came from Jamie Price (2), Richard Hebditch, Aaron Daniels and Craig Veal.

Axminster's former first team keeper and club captain, Jason Hutchings, who recently left the club, has signed for Bridport, relegated from the West League to the South West peninsular, and Chard Town who play in the Somerset senior League. A notice wishing him luck was posted on the Axminster Facebook page this week.
