This was Axminster Town Under 14s last league game of the season. The Tigers needed to win to keep their slim chances of winning the league alive.

Axe started slow up the hill in the first half, but both teams created a few half chances. George Manning, in goal, showed his safe hands when called upon.

The Tigers took the lead after a quick snap-shot was parried by the home keeper. Flynn Hartford was super sharp onto the rebound to tuck the ball away. Another soon followed, after Flynn again cut in from the left to drill a low powerfull shot which went in off the post just before half-time.

Quick team talk and the boys where back out, shooting down the hill on a slippery but decent pitch. It was Fin Lampey who got the third after great play down the right from cousin Ethan; the ball was crossed right into the danger area for Fin to slot home.

The home team didn't give up and got a goal back from a corner headed home to bring it back to 3-1. But Axminster went straight down the other end to put the game to bed when Theo Dibling was slid in on goal before rounding the keeper and scoring the fourth.

Cary did get another consolation goal when a missed pass fell into the path of the winger ro score. Just before the final whistle Dibling got the fifth after the keeper's miss-kick fell to him and he superbly lobbed the keeper from 25 yards out. Man-of-the-match was fill in right-back for the day, Fin Jenkins.
