The Ladies at Axe Cliff Golf Club were busy last week with a friendly on Monday when 15 from Woodbury Park and five mixed teams enjoyed a Texas Scramble .
There was a good turnout for the Monthly May Stableford at Axe Cliff Golf Club with a very close result, the first three all three getting 33 points each .
Axe Cliff Golf Club's Men's Section had a great turnout for their annual Easter Bowl with reasonable weather this year with Jimmy Matthews winning the tr.

It was a very good week for Axe Cliff Golf Club captains with Paula Heasman, the Ladies' captain, winning their first medal of the year last Wednesday, in glorious weather again, with a fine net 70.
Good players Jill Wellingon and Pauline Willis had to be satisfied with second and third respectively with net 76 and 78.
It was a busy week at Axe Cliff Golf Club Club once the weather changed for the better.
The Seniors played their popular "Famous Golfers " fun game in glorious weather last Friday. Each player was selected to represent a famous golfer before going out to play in groups of three.

On Monday of last week Axe Cliff Seniors enjoyed another friendly mixed match with the Ladies, always in great spirit with tremendous fun for all despite the challenging weather.
Axe Cliff Ladies had another challenging day in their County Prize Round last Wednesday, playing against a bitterly cold wind but at least they did not have any serious rain to contend with.
Amazingly the first three all had had the same score of 30 points and were difficult to separate.
Axe Cliff Ladies ladies were lucky last Wednesday when the wind was not as strong as had been forecast so they were able to enjoy a Valentine's special Stableford. They had to pick two different hearts each, playing in pairs, before they went out, and on the back of each hearts was the number of a hole where they were to double their score.
At the end of 15 holes they added their score together and the result was a very clear winning duo -Pauline Willis and Jo Hopgood with 58 points. Jill Wellington and Ange Higgins were second with 51 points and Stella Thompson and Sandra Walker third on 47 points.
