Axminster Town Under 13s 2 The young Tigers booked their place into the semi-finals of the Yeovil Youth League Division One cup against a strong Pen Mill side. With both Tigers' main keepers out injured on the morning of the game George Manning was called on to go between the sticks. Again Axe started the first half second to the ball went behind not long before half time with a long through ball to the opposing quick striker who latched onto it then rounded the keeper to score. Going into the second half Axminster woke up and battled much harder, winning first and second ball to put Pen Mill on the back foot. This eventually resulted in Axe getting a goal back through Theo Dibling who latched onto a through pass to round the keeper and slot home. With eight mins remaining the Tigers scored the winner with Fin Jenkin superbly attacking an excellent Alex Graves corner to smash the ball in from close range. The man-of-the-match award went to Alex Graves. The Tigers held on to go through to the semi-finals with a home tie to be played tomorrow (Thursday) 7th.
