Frustrating night for Axminster manager Dan Prettejohn

After four wins on the trot, Axminster Town surrendered their unbeaten record with a 1-1 draw at home to Elmore on Tuesday evening.

After such a good start of the season which saw the Tigers in second place in the South West Peninsular Premier East division, on goal average behind Ivybridge, manager Dan Prettejohn was disappointed with the performance.

Tiger's goal was scored by Jamie Short.

After the game Prettejohn said: "It was story of frustration and not taking our chances - glimpses of last season . When it's not going our way, we cannot get over the performances of others rather than improving our own.

"The only positive is that last season we lost that game and I hope it's a wake-up call. We have a quick turn-round to Friday to put this right."

Tomorrow (Friday) the Tigers are at home to local rivals Sidmouth Town who have won one of their three games and sit in 12th position in the division (kick-off 7.30pm).
