TIGERS TAKE A POINT AT HIGH-FLYING BRIXHAM
Axminster Town were well beaten 3-0 by Brixham when the two sides met two weeks ago at Tiger Way, fielding a side decimated by suspensions and injuries.
But this afternoon, fielding a stronger side, they put in a much better performance, drawing 2-2 with the South Devon side which are among the favourites to win the South West Peninsular Premier East title.
The three other East Devon sides in the Premier division all lost.
Axminster Reserves were drawn against Sidmouth 2nds in the Devon and Exeter Premier but the game was called off at the last minute because the Tigers could not field a side.
Beer Albion failed to curtail Lapford's Premiership ambitions but Colyton collected three useful points with a 5-0 win at Okehampton Argyle.
