Axminster Town are clinging on to sixth place following their 0-0 draw with Teignmouth last weekend, a game in which centre-back Chris McGrath was awarded man-of-the-match.

The result leaves the Tigers five points behind fifth placed Newton Abbot Spurs but with two games in hand.

Teignmouth are breathing down the necks of Axe, trailing by three points but with two games in hand as well.

On Saturday Axminster will be truly tested when they travel to Premier East leaders Okehampton who top the table with 62 points from 26 games compared to the Tigers' 40 points from 23 games.

Axminster finished in sixth place last season, their best ever performance in the South West Peninsular League, and manager Dan Prettejohn challenged his side the beat this in the current season.
