'Superb' performance from Tigers after losing two players in the warm-up

After a few indifferent performances, Axminster Town put in a superb display away to South West Peninsular League high-flyers Crediton United.

The 2-2 draw saw the Tigers climb back into the top six whilst Crediton dropped from third to fifth place.

The Axminster goals came from Charlie Wilson and Jamie Short and Lewis Waldy was named as named as man-of-the-match for his outstanding work ethic.

After the game, a delight manager Dan Prettejohn said: "To lose two players in the warm up coudhave had an adverse effect but tonight bodies were put on the line and the workmate was something thatched been missing.

"Tom lose the lead twice was frustrating but Crediton will beat a lot of teams this season so it was a well-earned point."

Tomorrow (Saturday) Axminster are at home to Wadebridge Town in the aced round of the Walter C. Parsons Cup (kick-off 3pm).
