Seaton 1-2 Feniton

Seaton Town hosted early Devon & Exeter League Premier East title favourites Feniton at Colyford Road but failed to capitalise on taking a 1-0 lead.

Seaton set up different to usual in an attempt to nullify the Feniton midfield. This seemed to work well in the opening 25 minutes as Seaton saw the net bulge twice, thanks to a screamer from James Hill which was dubiously ruled out, followed by a composed finish from Josh French, slotting it past the keeper.

Seaton's midfield continued to pressurise Feniton as the away side just couldn't seem to break the Seasiders down.

However, later on the first half, winger Oscar Walsh put in a looping cross over the keeper and it was bundled into the net which brought the score level heading into half-time.

There was little between the two sides and Seaton were arguably the better side in the first half, but they were caught napping at the beginning of the second half as three minutes in, Oscar Walsh again skipped past Mark Biss who slipped over and the ball was smashed into the roof of the net, giving Feniton the three points.

As the final whistle drew ever closer Seaton piled on pressure searching for a deserved equaliser whilst Feniton missed a number of chances at the other end with Andy Moore, Seaton's keeper, making several point-blank stops.

This was a clinical display from Feniton, as Seaton lose their third game on the bounce. They will be looking to improve this coming Saturday (October 17th) away to Upottery.
