Seaton Town 2nd 5, Sidmouth Town 4th 0
The much anticipated start of the season for Seaton Town 2nds started off with a local derby against Sidmouth's 4th team in the Devon & Exeter Division Four East division.
Involving a new management team, led by Anthony Hellier, Seaton got off to a flying start with great team build-up play and a clinical finish from Edward Kenworthy.
In the same half Charlie Clarke also got his name on the score sheet with a typical striker's tap-in which was well deserved with the way he was imposing himself during the first half.
William Hellier put Seaton 3-0 up before half-time by with fancy footwork which carved through the defence, scoring a wonderful finessed effort.
After the break Seaton proved they had their shooting boots on with Steven Woolof scoring an incredible top- corner strike from just outside the box.
As the game progressed Hellier proved too much for Sidmouth's defence once again with another well-crafted goal, sprinting past the defence leaving them standing on the half-way line and calmly slotting the ball home for his second.
The match ended 5-0 demonstrating the strength of the defence which acted like a wall the whole game.
The man-of the-match went to Edward Kenworthy for his brilliant display in midfield.
Seaton are away to Otterton for their second fixture on Saturday and will be hoping to continue great form to secure another three points.
