SIXTEEN Devon and Exeter League future survived the heavy frost yesterday.

Only two games were played in the Premier Division with leaders Alphington 1sts banging in 11 goals away to the bottom club, Okehampton Argyle 2nds.

Exeter University 2nds and Lyme Regis 1sts, in second place and third place on equal points but with the students ahead on goal average, were both left kicking their heels.

Lyme travel to Okehampton next Saturday and will be looking for three points against the basement boys to keep their championship hope alive. Uni travel to Kentisbeare who are in sixth place.

In Division Four Uplyme 1sts shared in a seven-goal thriller, losing 4-3 to Alphington 2nds.

In the Perry Street League Charmouth 1sts were in fine form, winning 9-2 at home to neighbours Thorncombe in Division One, a victory that sees them jump into fourth place in the table.
