The Travelling Tigers secured their first win of the season in the Devon county cup in very wet and slippery conditions.

After going behind to an early free-kick after 15 minutes the Axminster lads found some belief after Mason Doble has scored the equaliser by rounding the keeper and scoring from a tight angle in off the post.

Further goals followed, the first from captain Finn Graysmark on his second attempt off his own free kick. Then Matt Frewin with his first, slotting home from inside the box, making it 3-1 at half-time.

Two new debuts for young 15 year-olds, Dylan Burrough and Kai Martin, slotted straight into the team and performed well with ith the Tigers dominating the second half. Further goals came from Matt Frewin who completed his hat-trick. Sammie d'albertanson got his first of the season as did Ben Fox who worked tirelessly all game . Great teamwork by all the team .

Man-of-the-match went to Louis Newcombe, who filled in at left-back, where he doesn't normally play and did superbly.

Next match is home v Wellington Under 18s on Thursday (November 10, kick-off 7.30pm).
