The Tigers took on Bradninch on Saturday and walked away with a win and a place in the next round of the Devon FA Supplementary Cup.

Playing against the wind, the girls battled hard, putting themselves 1-0 up within the first 10 minutes with a goal from Kitty Deem-Stone.

Again, the Tigers capitalised, gaining control of the ball in the midfield, and finding a through ball to Maddie Carter to go 2-0 up.

Axe continued to go up a gear, winning a penalty kick. Unfortunately, this opportunity wasn't grasped, with goalkeeper Hebe Dyer failing to reap the rewards for her 70-yard run up to the spot kick.

This opened up an opportunity for the home team with Bradninch quickly scoring to make it 2-1 and allowing them back into the game.

The Tigers battled on in the second half, eventually putting the game to bed with a second goal from Kitty Deem-Stone, winning their first match under their new manager, recently promoted coach, Russell Weller.
