Another good attacking performance from Uplyme

UPLYME continued their pre-season programme of friendlies, this time against a very young and capable Perry Street Premier team Hawkchurch, running out 4-1 winners.

Uplyme went behind to a simple goal after a very bright start, but it's testament to this squad that they bounced back through Ben Prosser and then took the lead through Oli Alner debut goal at the back post from an excellent Prosser free-kick.

After half time, the quality continued and Uplyme hit the post twice and tested the keeper before Oscar Sladen scored two more goals.

The Swallows managed to miss two penalties before the end – one costing Sladen for his hat trick.

Overall, the Uplyme management team considered this to be a "very pleasing run out", with great credit to Prosser and George Symonds, but the man-of-the-match went to Joe Cleere, a cool and calm goalkeeper who exudes confidence and allowed his colleagues to enjoy their attacking approach.
