C DIVISION EAST

 After last week's disappointing defeat at Braunton, Uplyme and Lyme Regis returned to the top of C Division East with a convincing victory over their nearest rival, Sandford.

 The visitors won the toss and elected to field but in retrospect that might not have been the best decision as Uplyme were in devastating form with the bat. Star of the show was their overseas player, opener Anand Abishek, who slammed 132 runs to every corner of the King George V playing field, backed by an undefeated 95 from Tyler Wellman and 67 from Joe Elsworth. 

 Sandford made a brave attempt chasing 366 runs with No 3 Harry Everett carrying his bat for 123, but they were 92 runs short when stumps were drawn after 45 overs, having lost just four wickets.

 Uplyme protected their advantage with eight bowers keeping it tight, the most successful being Jack Lamb-Wilson who returned figures of 2 for 28 off ten overs.

 D DIVISION EAST

 Rain late in the day helped Chardstock to a points victory at home to Clyst Hydon.

 Clyst batted first and set a target of 291, having lost seven wickets in the 45 overs. Opener Ian Sutton was hero of the afternoon with a classy 107. 

 Nathaniel Giles-Jones (2-25) and Richard Pyman (3-33) were the pic of  the Chardstock bowlers.

 The rain came down and their score was revised to 227-5 off 35 overs to win the game and ease their position at the bottom of the table. Gary Larcombe carried his bat for 79 and skipper Robbie Hutchings contributed 59.

 G DIVISION EAST

 Kilmington 2nd XI v Shobrooke Park 2nd XI  

 Shobrooke Park batted first and made 151 all out off 31.1 overs, almost exclusively due to 76 from Sam Bowker at number 5, writes Martin Huscroft.

 The loss of openers Adam Culley and Hal Cook hampered Kilmington's reply but Ralph (33) and Ashley (32*) Cook steadied the ship, and a quick 29 not out from Reed took them to an important victory at 153-4 after 30 overs.  

 This was an important win after two defeats when resources have been stretched, prior to a big game next week against leaders Culmstock 1st XI.

 Seaton 2nd X1 remain entrenched at the bottom of the table after losing by 45 runs at Exmouth 3rd  X1, well adrift of the side above them.

 The home team batted first and posted 275 for 6 off 40 overs. Their star performer was Jeremy Tozer with a fine knock of 101.

 Bobby Dormer (2 for 33) and James Janami (2-59) were Seaton's best bowlers.

 Opener Michael Wheeler (72) gave Seaton a fine start in the run chase and John Oldfield (51) and Jack Dormer (41 not out) kept the scoreboard ticking along but they were 47 runs adroft when stumps were drawn.

 H DIVISION EAST

 Axminster Town 2nds jumped to fourth position in the table with a seven-wicket victory at home to Kenn.

 The Carpetmen put the visitors into bat and bowled them out for 78 in 30 overs. Only two batters – Anthony Gosling (21) and skipper Graham Stone (25) got into double figures.

 Wayne Jenkins (4-15) and Dave Hayball (3-14) did all the damage with the ball.

 Axminster knocked off the required runs in 30 overs, with Ollie Watts carrying his bat for 46.
