Devon County Council has made temporary repairs to Queen Street in Seaton, which was damaged in recent flash floods.

The paving stones on Queen Street were damaged by water ingress after a heavy downpour in June caused flash flooding in some areas of the town.

This created a potential trip hazard so the area was cordoned off by Devon County Council.

The council's highways team carried out temporary repairs to the area yesterday, using black bitmac - much like normal road surface.

Seaton Town Council has said this is only a temporary measure to make the area safe, and the paving slabs are expected to be re-laid in the future.
