Teenage boy arrested after break-in at Seaton Post Office

A teenage boy was arrested in connection with a burglary at Seaton Post Office last week.

Police are investigating reports of a burglary at the premises on Harbour Road, which took place in the early hours on Thursday, October 20.

It was reported that entry was forced, with a glass panel of the front door smashed, and items including smoking items were taken.

A teenage boy was arrested in connection to the incident and released on police bail. Police enquiries remain ongoing at this time.

Anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/096921/22.

Seaton Post Office is now open again as usual.

The incident comes after local police recently appealed to the public and warned businesses to remain vigilant amid an increase in break-ins, including at the Seaton & Distrct Hospital League of Friends charity shop, Taste of Devon Butchers and The Hideaway Cafe in one night.

A man was then arrested on Wednesday, October 12 in connection with a number of incidents Seaton, including criminal damage, burglary, arson and theft from motor vehicles.
