Officers have been conducting enquiries and several businesses have assisted our investigation in providing CCTV footage.

A male suspect from the Colyton area was arrested, although has since been released having been eliminated from enquiries. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department are now leading the investigation.

A spokesperson for Seaton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We'd like to reassure the local community that whilst events like these are concerning, they are rare in nature for our town, and enquiries remain ongoing to bring those concerned to justice.

"In the meantime, we'd like to remind business owners and residents to remain vigilant to suspicious persons and to consider installing security lighting, cameras and other prevention measures."

Police are also urging anyone with information to come forward by reporting this by emailing [email protected] quoting EN/015618/22, by speaking with any of the local team, or simply by dropping a note through the letterbox.
