Following the announcement by the government that a second lockdown will be put in place from Thursday to December 2nd, Seaton Town Council has taken the decision to close the council office at close of business on Wednesday.

The town clerk, Julia Mutlow, and council staff will be working from home and can be contacted via the normal email channels.

Town maintenance operative Phil Tuckley will continue to look after the play parks and outdoor areas, collect rubbish, empty bins and generally keep the town safe and tidy.

Anyone who needs to contact Seaton Town Council should telephone 01297 21388 and leave a message. The answer phone will be checked daily, or alternatively you can email [email protected] or privately message us through Facebook.

A message on the council website said: "Whilst we all hope that business will carry on as normal, please bear with us in these difficult times."
