Platinum Jubilee events in Seaton today - Friday, June 3
It's day two of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend and celebrations are now in full swing in Seaton.
We'll be bringing you daily updates with a list of what's on in the Seaton area every morning over the four-day Bank Holiday weekend, and look out for our round-up of the day's events in the evenings.
Today, a Coronation Tea will be held at St Gregory's Church Hall from 3pm to 5pm. The church will also open its jubilee flower festival today, and this will be open 10am to 5pm everyday until Sunday.
Foodie fayre from across the globe will be on offer at Seaton Eats Boutique's special jubilee street food market from 4pm to 9pm at Jubilee Gardens.
The Gateway Theatre will be hosting one of its popular film picnic nights with a screening of 'Fantastic Beasts - The Secrets of Dumbledore', with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are available here.
All weekend events will include cruiser and dinghy racing, canoeing and kayaking at Axe Yacht Club.
A visual display of significant events during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II will be held at The Axe Valley Heritage Centre (Seaton Museum) from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm every day over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Nub News team will be attending as many Platinum Jubilee events as possible over the four-day weekend, but unfortunately we cannot get to everything. Please send your jubilee photos to [email protected] for inclusion in our jubilee coverage!
