Celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee officially get underway today (Thursday).

We'll be bringing you daily updates with a list of what's on in the Seaton area every morning over the four-day Bank Holiday weekend, and look out for our round-up of the day's events in the evenings.

Today, celebrations will kick off with a free live streaming of the Trooping of the Colour in London, at The Gateway Theatre from 10am.

Street food and live music will be on offer at Ragini in Harbour Road, from 11am to 3pm, while a Jubilee cream tea and raffle will be held at The Hub on Marine Place from 10am to 4pm.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Seaton Summer Celebration in Cliff Field Gardens today from 4pm to 10pm, featuring live music, laser clay pigeon shooting, circus skills workshop, stalls, games and lots more, including a beacon lighting at 9.45pm.

Axe Yacht Club will also be lighting a beacon on the beach at 9.45pm.

All weekend events will include cruiser and dinghy racing, canoeing and kayaking at Axe Yacht Club.

A visual display of significant events during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II will be held at The Axe Valley Heritage Centre (Seaton Museum) from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm every day over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Nub News team will be attending as many Platinum Jubilee events as possible over the four-day weekend, but unfortunately we cannot get to everything. Please send your jubilee photos to [email protected] for inclusion in our jubilee coverage!
