Seaton Town Council has elected four new members by co-option.

The council has been operating with just seven councillors for several months but four of the five vacancies were filed at a special meeting earlier this month.

The new councillors are Kerri-Ann Briggs, Martin Macaskill, Cheryl Wood and David Wright.

The council is also calling on all teenagers in the town to tell councillors what they think about their town and what could make it better for young people.

Anyone with ideas and the knowledge to make them work is being urged to contact Cllr Derek Haggerty, who is fronting the Promote Seaton initiative.

A notice on the council website says: "This is your town too so help to make it a place you can be proud of."
