Coastguards called to woman injured on Salcombe Hill

Beer coastguards and the ambulance services were called out this morning (Wednesday) to a woman who has fallen and broken her leg.

The emergency services were called at 11.25am to the coast path Salcombe Hill, near Sidmouth, where the woman had fallen down.

Coastguards packaged the lady on to a stretched and carried her up Salcombe Hill, out of the woods and to the ambulance, from where she was transported on to hospital.
