Beer Parish Council calls for traffic cone amnesty

Beer Parish Council is holding a 'traffic cone amnesty' to ensure they don't have to spend money on replacing missing cones.

Traffic cones have been used for temporary road closures in the village during the coronavirus pandemic, but the parish council is now missing about 10.

The cones are borrowed from Devon County Council and if they cannot be returned they will cost the parish council about £10 each to replace.

The more money spent on replacing cones means less money for the parish council to spend in Beer.

The council is now calling for all missing cones to be returned to the temporary road closure site in Fore Street.
