Junior members of Seaton Tennis Club have made a bid to play on the hallowed turf of the All England Club by taking part in the Road to Wimbledon competition.

The tournament is the biggest of its kind in British tennis, giving under-14 boys and girls across the country a chance to compete in local events, with county champions earning the right to play on the famous grass courts of SW19.

At the Seaton tournament Alex Wall, Teddie Hindhaugh, Louis Parry, Toby Taylor and Oscar Pike contested the boys' event, with Alex eventually defeating Teddie in the decisive match. In the Girls' event, Zanna Newsholme edged out Ella Hilling.

The winners will now go through to the county finals on 10th-11th July, with the county winners progressing to the national finals at Wimbledon on 8th-14th August.

The Seaton tournament took place on May 29.
