Charmouth 3, Shepton Beauchamp 2

Charmouth made the journey to Shepton Beauchamp, still carrying a few injuries but started brightly.

In the second minute Sam Dibling slotted Brin Seward through to make it 1-0.

Charmouth continued to build pressure, moving the ball well and creating chances but struggled to find the net.

Shepton created a couple of good chances with the ball flying across the mouth of Charmouth's goal but failed to convert.

The Robins came back with the counter creating more chances from corners and free kicks but it remained at 1-0.

In the 25th minute Brin Seward fired past the post and Shepton started to build confidence in the game heading into half time at 1-0 up but should have really been more.

The second half kicked off when a mix-up from a Charmouth throw-in gifted Shepton a goal to draw level at 1-1

Charmouth reacted with Ashley Williams hitting the side netting and then some great battling saw Brin Seward grab his second to give Charmouth at 2-1 lead.

Charmouth were pressuring but didn't really get out of first gear. Russ Oldbury converted after a Williams' shot rebounded off the post, only to be ruled out for offside.

But a few minutes later Williams assisted Brin Seward to complete his hat-trick on 61minutes.

The game turned a little scrappy for the last 30 minutes and in the dying minutes of the game a second bit of confusion saw Bogdan Tudor turn into his own net to complete the 3-2 scoreline.

Charmouth came away with the three points, although not their best performance of the season.

Man-of-the-match went to Ty Allen.
