Axminster Town's poor start to the season continued at Tiger Way last evening when they were beaten 3-1 by Elmore.

Manager Josh Stunnell was looking for a better performance after losing 2-1 in their opening South West Peninsular Premier East game against Dartmouth but his young side were not up to the task although it's early days yet.

Man-of-the-match Cameron Vere got the Tigers back on equal terms after Elmore opened up a 1-0 lead and scored two more goals after the break.

Axminster will be back in action again on Monday when they travel to Crediton United who beat Bovey Tracey 2-1 on Saturday.
