After chalking up yet another victory on Saturday with 3-0 win at Elburton Villa, Axminster Town can boast the best defensive record in the South Peninsular Premier East Division.
Sitting in seventh place in the table with 31 points from 16 games, the Tigers have let in just 15 goals and have only conceded one in nine hours of football.
The high point of Saturday's victory over Elburton was the performance of man-of-the-match Charlie Wilson who scored all three goals and is rapidly building a reputation as one of the most lethal wingers in the league.
Tomorrow (Wednesday night) will see a big crowd at Tiger Way when Axminster play host to near rivals Honiton Town, the original derby fixture being rained off a few weeks ago. The game is sponsored by Axminster Nub News.
The Tigers will be anxious to make up for a 2-0 defeat at Honiton at the beginning of the season. Kick-off is at 7.30 pm.
They are at home again on Saturday when they will be looking for another three points against Torridgeside, who have won just five of their 14 games and sit in 17th place in the table.
