Axminster Town need maximum points from their next two games to keep their fifth place in the South West Peminsukar League Premier East division.

The rain played havoc with the South West Peninsular League fixtures on Saturday with only six matches taking place.

Among the games called off was Axminster Town's home match with Torridgeside, but the fixture goes ahead tonight at Tiger Way (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Tigers go into the game in fifth place with Torridgeside labouring at 13th position, having won eight of their 28 games. Axe need to continue their winning form with another three points as the side above them, Brixham AFC, have played three games less but have an eight-point lead in fourth place.

Below Axminster, Newton Abbot Spurs are in sixth place, trailing by two points but having played two more games.

Crediton United are leading the table on 71 points from 31 games with Okehampton Argyler two points behind on 29 games.

On Saturday Axminster have another home fixture, this time against Elburton Villa who are 16th in the table.
