Millwey Rise FC are celebrating their 65th anniversary.

Formed in 1958 to provide football for those living on the Axminster housing estate, Millwey are celebrating the milestone Rise have produced bearing the club's emblem and formation date.

There is a choice of blue, the club's original colours. These are on sale at £3 each and are available from the clubhouse at Cloakham Lawns. They are a lasting momento to the success story of Millwey Rise AFC since its inauguration in 1958.

For many years Millwey played on their infamous sloping pitch, hence their nickname 'The Slopers", competing in the Petty Street League before crossing Chard Road to play at CloakLawn in the Devon and Exeter League.

Millwey have always engendered great loyalty from their players who remained faithful to the housing estate side through thick and thin and regular approaches from their neighbours Axminster Town .
