Axminster Under 13s started their season in style after a tough pre-season, having won four games and lost two against some strong opposition.

On Sunday the youngsters graced the "hallowed" turf on the main pitch at Tiger Way, which was in superb condition, and came out 17-0 winners against Bruton Under 13s.

On the full-size pitch, the boys played some great football and punished their opponents at every opportunity.

Cain Murdy made his league debut in goal, moving over from Millwey Rise, as did Alex Burrough coming back to the Tigers from Lyme Regis.

The defence kept everything out and supplied the forward players superbly.

Axe goals came from: Theo Dibling 5, Finn Lampy 1, Ollie W 2, Noa Bailey 1, Flynn Hartford 1, Alex Burrough 3, George Manning 1,Ruben Baluch 1 (goal of the day) and Alex Dixon 2

Man-of-the match went to George Manning for his excellent workrate and wing-play down the right .

Before the game the Under 13s were presented with a smart new strip by Ellen Webb, representing sponsors, Lentells Accountants.
