Seaton Ladies had a free week and enjoyed a well deserved break after playing three games in seven days before hosting Plainmoor who were in great form having several subs and starting the game on the back of two wins.

Both teams were evenly matched. Seaton started sluggish and struggled to link up through the channels. Plainmoor picked up some second balls in the middle of the park and managed to win a corner. Unfortunately for Seaton, Plainmoor managed to covert the corner into a goal, leading 1-0.

Seaton picked themselves up and started to push forward as a team with a couple of through balls through. Plainmoor maintained a well organised defence which caught Seaton offside a couple of times. It wasn't long before Lara Spiers put through a penetrating through ball for Megan Griffiths to run onto and score a one-on-one equaliser.

Seaton continued to build up play and won a corner which was sweetly delivered into box for Megan Griffiths to win the header, grabbing her second of the day.

Megan Griffiths picked the ball up from a cross on the right side delivered by Georgie Hughes, who managed to put the ball into the back of the net and seal her hat-trick of the day, giving Seaton a 3-1 half-time lead.

Both teams restarted with a purpose, Seaton controlling the game well in the opening minutes. Playing the ball from defence Seaton worked it up the line, Georgie Lamprill managed to pass a through ball into the box only to have Megan Griffiths waiting once again to score her fourth goal of the day.

Plainmoor reacted and pressed Seaton with some runs through the defensive line and managed to secure a goal for their efforts, bringing the score to 4-2.

But Seaton were not willing to surrender their lead and pressed hard, producing some impressive link-up up play. Grifiths, not content with scoring four, managed to nick the ball from Plainmoor's right-back and scored a fifth after another one-on-one with the goalie.

Plainmoor dug deep but weren't able to reduce the arrears and the game ended in a deserved 5-2 win for Seaton Ladies.
