LYME Regis 1st team have been confirmed as champions of the Devon and Exeter League Premier East division.

The Seasiders' semi-final against Chard Town last Saturday was abandoned at half-time by the referee after a downpour of rain which made the Davey Fort pitch unplayable. At the time Lyme were leading 3-0.

It was thought that a replay would be held but the club have been informed that they have been declared champions and will now meet Lapford, who won the Premier West title, at Topsham's ground on Saturday, June 5th.

Both clubs have been informed that they will play for the Premier trophy along with the Sponsors' Award of a brand new kit.

Both teams will also be presented with their respective division winners' plaque, with the runners-up of the play-off receiving a set of embroidered training T- shirts. There will also be a man-of-the-match award, selected by the sponsors.

There will be no medals for the players.

Each club will will receive 20 entry passes for the game for players and four passes for officials. Those without a pass will be charged an entry fee. Each club will be allocated five parking spaces. Five substitutes will be allowed.

If it's all square after 90 minutes, the game will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
