Millwey captain Ash Hall took over the gloves for this match and was kept busy as Bow made a series of early forays on the Rise goal.

Gradually Millwey, playing down the slope, began threatening the visitors defence and were a goal up when Jack Bennett's header found Owen Enticott who sidestepped two defenders to smash the ball into the net.

Unfortunately the same player, only minutes later, fell awkwardly and injured his shoulder. Although he continued for a short time it was obvious he was in a lot of pain and was replaced by Josh Marlowe.

Bennett then had a firm strike brilliantly tipped away for a corner by the Bow keeper. A Rise forward saw his shot strike the upright and sub Marlowe's first touch of the ball produced a sizzling strike just over the bar,

Although Bow continued pressing the Millwey defence they found Imran Chowdhury a rock on which their efforts most times floundered. The half came to a close with Millwey edging the honours and Dave Bridge's a constant thorn in Bow's side.

Soon after the start of the second period Millwey pressurised the Bow defence and were rewarded when Cameron Board went past his man on the right then whipped in a delightful ball to find Shane Featherstone whose scintillating header beat the keeper for Rise's second goal.

The rest of the half was very even with both sides going close. Featherstone made way for Ben Rosling who instantly looked sharp and threatening and it was Rosling who was soon on the score sheet as he ran through the Bow defence and coolly slotted the ball home past the onrushing keeper. Bow had a couple of half chances near the end which they failed to capitalise on and the game finished with a fine 3 -0 victory for Rise consolidating their current fourth position in Devon and Exeter Division Eight.

The management team of Terry Male and James Morgan were delighted with this performance and considered it the best their team performance of the season. Ashley Hall's appearance for the day as keeper was very much appreciated. The back four for Rise provided a solid wall which Bow failed to penetrate where Alex Osborne was outstanding as man-of-the-match with some amazing last ditch tackles.
