A 4-4 draw at home to league leaders Exeter University 6ths should have left Uplyme feeling positive, but it wasn't the case.

"I messed up." said manager Steve Gillan, "We were 4 - 1 up after 55 minutes, but our legs were starting to go. We had an injury to key defender Conor Newns and I made tactical errors that let them back in the game."

Great team goals from Ben Prosser (2), James Souter and one from man-of-the-match Kieren Daniels put Uplyme in a very strong position. However, as the game continued and the pitch became more and more testing, the fitness of the Uni squad started to tell.

An own goal and a sloppy penalty put Uni back level but Uplyme still had a last-second chance to win it from Daniels, when his shot was deflected agonisingly wide and he had a very strong shout for a penalty but the referee was unsighted.

Next up are St Thomas at home, which will be a very challenging match for different reasons, but Uplyme will want to continue their unbeaten home streak.
