Good news for Axminster Town Reserves. They have been placed in the Premier Division of the new Devon and Exeter League structure next season.
The league has announced today (Monday) that they have abandoned the regional structure and there will be nine divisions next season across the county.
Axminster were disappointed last season when their reformed second X1 and were placed in Division Three East. They went on to dominate that league, losing only once.
That side was managed by Dan Prettejohn who has now been appointed manager of the first team in the South West Peninsular Premier East. The Reserves' new manager in Jamie Barfoot.
Beer Albion, Seaton Town, Colyton and Lyme Regis, who last season finished in top spot of the reset Premier Division with only five club competing due to the epidemic, will all compete in the new Premier division.
The Premier Division and Division One will have 15 clubs and the other seven divisions will have 14 teams.
Beer Albion 2nds will compete in Division One with Axmouth United and Lyme Regis Reserves in Division Three. Colyton 2nd X1 and Farway United will be playing in Division Four, alongside Millwey Rise 1sts.
Uplyme 1sts, who played in the Perry Street League last season, have joined the the Devon and Exeter and will compete in Division Six, as will Seaton Town 2nds. Millwey Rise 2nds will be in Division Eight.
