Two successive defeats has seen Colyton dropped to fourth place in the Devon and Exeter Premier division.

Following their 3-1 defeat at home to Kentisbeare, the Tanners were beaten 3-0 away to University of Exeter 2nds.

Colyton now sit below Lyme Regis, who were thrashed 7-0 by league leaders Alphington in the East Devon Senior Cup on Saturday. Cyst Valley move into second place with bLyme Regis in third spot, on equal terms with Clys but with a game in hand.

Colyton were trailing 1-0 at half time but Uni got the upper hand after the break with two more second half goals. Man-of-the-match for Colyton was Charlie Cross.

In Division Four, Colyton 2nds featured in a ten-goal thriller, beating Exeter United 6-4 after being all square at 3-3 at half time.

The Colyton goals came from Nathan Maddocks (3), Archie Close, Jenson Deanus and Fonley Cox.

This coming Saturday, Colyton are at home to Exeter University 2nds (kick-off 2.15pm) whilst The Reserves are away to St Thomas Social Club.
