Fifteen goals in five days have seen Colyton 1sts win a place in a cup final and strengthen their fifth position in the Devon and Exeter League Premier Division.

On Thursday of last week the Tanners booked their place in the Grandisson Cup final in an exciting clash against Clyst Valley. At half-time Colyton were leading 4-2 but the Valley fought back in the second half levelling the score at 4-4 after extra-time. Their goals came from Jake Collier, Bobby Henderson (2) and Callum Somers.

Colyton finally clinched the game in a penalty shoot out, 5-3, with Ross Broom, Kieran Quigley, Charlie Cross, George Richards's and Callum Somers all successful with their spot kicks. Man-of-the-match was Ross Broom.

One Saturday Colyton pulled off of brilliant victory over Elmore 2nds, winning 3-2 with goals from Billy Knox, Callum Somers and Kian Bedwell. Elmore sit one place above Colyton in the league but have only played 18 games and are expected to finish in the runners-up spot.

On Bank Holiday Monday Colyton retained their fifth place by banging in eight goals against Okehampton Argyle. On target were Billy Knox (3), George Richards (2), Jake Collier (2) and Jake Richards. Jake Collier was man-of-the-match.

Colyton are now five points ahead of Lyme Regis but the Seasiders have two games in hand with three more games to play. Colyton's last game is away to Elmore tomorrow (Thursday).

Colyton Reserves completed their season with a 4-1 defeat at East Budleigh, their goal coming from William Sydenham. The Tanners' second string finished in ninth place in Division Four.
