Club chairman pays tribute to Axminster Town's team of volunteers and coaches at youth section presentation night

The Axminster Town clubhouse was packed with youth players and their families for the presentation evening for Under 15s, 16s and 18s teams.

Club chairman Andy Hurford hosted the evening, thanking the players, their families, and coaches as well as all the volunteers who work behind the scenes.

Terry Guppy, a former referee and long-standing supporter and valued member of the club, presented the awards. Jeremy Blaire from Just Mortgages, sponsor of our Under 18s side, was presented with a signed shirt from their manager Sam Dibling as a token of his appreciation.

To end the evening, Andy also awarded the Clubman of the Year award to Clare Herbert for her outstanding contribution to the club during the season. He also thanked Beki Page and Rachel Burrough for their valued volunteer work throughout the season.

The awards presented were as follows:

Under 15 winners

Supporter's player - Benjamin Rich

Players' player - Benjamin Rich & Ben Matthews

Most improved - Leo Lucas

Manager's player - Ben Matthews

Golden boot - Oscar Porter with 14 goals

Under 16s winners

Supporter's player – Bailey Galloway

Players' player – Bailey Galloway

Most improved- Dylan Burrough

Manager's player – Josias Drew

Golden boot - Owen Dibling with 21 goals. Owen was also chosen as the club's outstanding player.

Under 18s winners

Supporter's player - Louis Newcombe

Players' player - Mason Doble

Most improved- Kelzy

Manager's player - Tom Symons Golden boot - Owen Dibling with seven goals apiece.
