Charmouth 6 Donyatt Utd 1

That's 5 from 5 - and a perfect start for Charmouth in their first season back in the Perry Street League.

Charmouth started the match brightly and after a few slow starts recently it was great to see the team come out with such a positive attitude.

It didn't take long for Charmouth to take the lead with Dave Bridges assisting Brin Seward for an awesome overhead kick to make it 1-0.

The Robins continued to dominate and the second goal came in the 16th minute with Brin Seward pairing up with Sam Dibling once again for Sam to slot home for 2-0.

Charmouth continued to pressure into the 35th minute with Dibling assisting Dave Bridges to make it 3-0.

Donyatt then got themselves back into the game,  but some great saves from Ali Harvey and the defence playing well as a unit, Charmouth held firm and had some long range efforts from Adzy Whitehouse and Sam Dibling.

But the Donyatt break had to come and in the 43rd minute a deflected shot looped over the defence and Ali Harvey to make the score 3-1 at half-time.

Donyatt started the second half well with a few shots on goal but Charmouth's midfield stepped up to take control of the game once again  and in the 70th minute substitute Russ Oldbury, assisted Steve Woolof,  got his first goal for Charmouth.

A few minutes later some Donyatt frustration boiled over and a dangerous challenge on Sam Dibling saw the Donyatt player given a straight red.

Two minutes later Charmouth punished the ten-man Donyatt further when Dave Bridges assisted once again for Ty Allen to score for the second game in a row to make it 5-1.

The game was wrapped up with Matt Dare grabbing his first assist of the campaign, setting up Sam Dibling to complete the 6-1 scoreline.

Charmouth dominated the majority of the game, there were many great performances but man-of-the-match went to Mark Vaughan for a great overall performance. His distribution from the back was clinical.
