Perry Street Division Two

Charmouth 7, Netherbury 0

CHARMOUTH returned to winning ways with three points to bolster their Perry Street League Division Two campaign.

The match started fairly even with the first 10 minutes seeing the teams settle into the game. Charmouth began to build pressure and started moving the ball well when a cross from a corner dropped to Ty Allen in the box who smashed it into the back of the net for 1-0.

Charmouth continued the press with a few more corners when on the 26th minute a great cross from the right from Adzy Whitehouse was met by Russ Oldbury's header to make it 2-0 Charmouth.

Netherbury battled well and definitely were not playing like a bottom of the table side. Charmouth continued to move the ball well but the first half wrapped up the 2-0 advantage, probably a little flattering to Charmouth.

The second half was a different story with Charmouth controlling the game and moving the ball well, the team battled hard and this resulted with Whitehouse lobbing the on-rushing keeper form 40 yards to put Charmouth three goals in front.

The goals kept coming with Sam Dibling crossing for Ashley Williams to head home against his old club to make it 4-0.

Minutes later Charmouth made it 5-0 from a free-kick with Sam Dibling rolling the ball to Ty Allen who curled in into the top right corner for an excellent finish.

Charmouth continued to dominate then two quick goals in the 85th and 87th from Whitehead and Brin Seaward wrapped up the game.

This was a great team performance and good preparation for the top-of-the-table battle with Drimpton next Saturday.

Man-of-the- match: Ashley Williams.
